Brady Tkachuk Trade Talks Heating Up With a Conference Rival
It's NHL trade season, and much like last year, the rumors are plenty. Last off-season we saw a massive deal that sent Matthew Tkachuk to Florida in exchange for Jonathan Huberdeau, Mackenzie Weegar, and more. This time around, it could be Tkachuk's younger brother, Brady, on the move.
Reunion?
Paul Bissonnette on the Spittin' Chiclets Podcast claims that a trade to send Brady Tkachuk from Ottawa to Florida is in the works. The potential return for Tkachuk would include Panthers captain Aleksander Barkov.
While it should be noted that Biz is not an NHL insider, and his sources are unknown, this is a fun trade to speculate about.
Tkachuk Line
With Barkov out and the Panthers in need of a new captain, who better than the team's leading scorer this year, Matthew Tkachuk? A line with both Tkachuk brothers on it would be a force to be reckoned with, and not many teams would be able to handle them physically.
Could this be the move that pushes Florida over the edge, and gets them that elusive Stanley Cup next season?
