Capitals Star Reportedly Being Pursued by the LA Kings
The Los Angeles Kings are kicking the tires on a Capitals forward, according to a new report.
Washington and Los Angeles linked in trade talks
According to Dennis Bernstein & David Pagnotta of 'The Fourth Period', the Kings reportedly have interest in a move for Capitals Forward Tom Wilson.
Tom Wilson potentially near the end of his Capitals career
Wilson, who in 2023-24 will be in the final year of his contract with the Capitals, has been linked in trade talks, although nothing substantial has been reported.
Wilson, 29, had 13 Goals and 22 Points in 33 Games for the Capitals before injury issues sidelined him.
Washington, who failed to quality for the playoffs for the first time since 2014, face the issue of a potential closing cup window with an aging squad of Alex Ovechkin, 37, Nicklas Backstrom, 35, & John Carlson, 33.
Wilson will be a Free Agent after next season. He currently has an AAV slightly over $5.1M, with a modified No-Trade Clause.
