The Stanley Cup Finals are a massive moneymaker for both the NHL and it's franchises, so it should come as no surprise that the Florida Panthers are gouging their die-hard fans.

Crazy Prices

Knowing that they would be in line for a sold out crowd ahead of Game Four on Saturday night, the Panthers increased their parking prices to an outrageous $100 plus tax to park their cars.
Fans were justifiably incensed online:
FLA Live Arena's capacity for hockey is 19,250. Since the location of the arena is in the Miami suburb of Sunrise, fans are forced to drive to the arena to see their beloved Panthers.
Assuming that the vast majority of fans will be driving to the game and therefore paying the $100 plus tax fee, the Panthers will rake in nearly $2 million dollars just bade off of parking fees.
This is on top of tickets costing $278 to upward of a thousand dollars for Game Four. Needless to say making the Finals will make Panthers Owner Vincent Viola very happy from a business point of view.
Stanley Cup Finals games are a near guarantee to sell out, and given Gary Bettman's goal of crating as much money for his owners as possible, it is not a shock to see this level of price increases.
