Patrick Roy's name has been thrown around NHL circles for a while but it has been officially revealed which NHL team reached out to him.

NHL Team that reached out to Roy for Head Coach job Revealed

It has been a few years since Patrick Roy coached an NHL team but in that time he has been quite successful with the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL.

Leading the Remparts to a QMJHL championship and memorial cup birth, Roy has been crucial to their success.

On the 32 Thoughts podcast, Elliotte Friedman revealed which team reached out to Roy:

NHL teams have taken note of this, specifically the Columbus Blue Jackets. Columbus is in search of a head coach to help their young team develop and keep their older stars producing.

It is likely up to Roy if he wants to go to Columbus or not. Other NHL teams have been linked to Roy and he could wait it out for a larger market team like the Rangers to offer him a job.

At the end of the day, it looks like Patrick Roy will return to the NHL relatively soon.
