The Boston Bruins have put a stranglehold on their first round series against the Florida Panthers after winning Game 4 by a score of 5-2.

But Brad Marchand didn't praise him teams' efforts after the win. He instead called out the NHL for their hot mics.

"I think the NHL and the media outlets have crossed the line to allow those mics ..."

Why The Hot Mics?

In the heat of the moment, some things can be said that don't necessarily align with that players' morals.

It can be argued that the NHL gets players mic'd up so fans can get a better feel for the players' personalities. But when the player is accidentally caught on a hot mic, it doesn't look too good.

It's also not a great look on the NHL, and their executives can't be too happy about it either. Ultimately though, it's up to the broadcast crew, not the NHL on what gets broadcasted live.

Is the intensity of the playoffs ramp up, it likely won't be the last time a player gets caught on a hot mic saying something vulgar.

Marchand knows this, but it won't stop him and others from trash talking eachother. That's why he's saying the NHL needs to step in.
