It was a chippy game on Wednesday night between the New York Rangers and Tampa Bay Lightning. The game had a playoff feel to it, that turned into extreme physicality.

Tampa was down two goals midway through the second period, trying to find a spark Lightning winger Alex Killorn crashed the net hard making contact with Rangers' goalie Igor Shesterkin. The Rangers swarmed Killorn and initiated a scrum.
During the first period New York lost it's captain thanks to a Corey Perry slewfoot. Perry goes into the corner with Rangers' defenceman Jacob Trouba, both players were going after the puck. Trouba unfortunately gets taken out by Perry and smashes his face off the ice. He went back to the bench briefly before going to the locker room and didn't return.
The NHL's Department of Player Safety handed down fines to Lightning forward Alex Kilorn and Rangers' defenceman Adam Fox
Killorn has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Slashing NY Rangers' Igor Shesterkin.
Fox has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for Slashing Tampa Bay's Corey Perry.
The two teams don't play again this season but would make for a very entertaining match up in the later rounds of the playoffs if things work out this way.
