Another night of NHL games, and another fight after a big, clean hit. Wednesday night's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and New York Rangers saw plenty of rough stuff as both teams seemed to be in full playoff mode. In one instance, the Rangers' Ross Colton went after the Lightning's Braden Schneider following a clean hit on Nick Paul.

Schneider caught Paul with a massive, hard hit as Paul was trying to enter the offensive zone with the puck. Colton didn't even think about it before reacting, rushing over to Schneider and jumping him, with both falling to the ice.

Fighting after clean hits seems to be a daily occurrence in the NHL now, with fans split on whether it's necessary. One thing's for certain, it's not going anywhere until the NHL itself takes action to put a stop to it. And that will only happen if the league deems it necessary to do so.

There was a ton of rough stuff in the Rangers-Bolts game. You can check out more of the action here.
