According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Winnipeg Jets have acquired 30-year-old Nino Niederreiter from the Nashville Predators.

The Chur (Switzerland) native has 28 points (18 goals, ten assists), 16 penalty minutes and is a minus-nine in 56 games this season.

After three-and-a-half seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes, Niederreiter became an unrestricted free agent in July 2022 and signed a two-year deal with the Predators worth $4 million AAV.

In exchange, the Predators have received a second-round pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.
