The Anaheim Ducks will have plenty of moving parts leading up to the NHL's trade deadline on Friday, March 3rd. Among the names that could be moved are defencemen John Klingberg and Dmitry Kulikov, both of whom are set to be unrestricted free agents in July.

During his recent '32 Thoughts' article, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman linked Dmitry Kulikov to the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are in need of some depth on their blue line as they chase down a playoff spot in the Metropolitan Division.

"Some fits that may make sense: Anaheim's Dmitry Kulikov for Pittsburgh, on the left side." Friedman said.

The Lipetsk (Russia) native was traded to the Anaheim Ducks from Minnesota in August in exchange for future considerations. So far this season, Kulikov has appeared in 52 games, putting up ten points (two goals, eight assists), 28 penalty minutes and is a minus-13.

Adding the 14-year veteran to the Penguins' left side would be a fairly sizable addition, depth-wise and could slide into any of Pittsburgh's three defensive pairing. Currently, the Penguins have Brian Dumoulin, Marcus Pettersson and Pierre-Olivier Joseph on their left side.
