Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl is having yet another strong season, but when speaking with the media on Thursday ahead of All-Star Weekend, the 27-year-old said that he's not too happy with how he's been playing.

"Yeah, it's been a funny year for me personally, to be honest. I haven't really been happy with the way I've been playing necessarily," Draisaitl said.

He added, "Obviously, the statistics would probably tell you otherwise," he added with a laugh. "I think there's another level to the way that I just want to play, not about statistics or goals, assists, or whatever it is."

When looking at Draisaitl's statistics this season, it's crazy to even think that there's a next level he believes he can get to. In 48 games, the Cologne (Germany) has 76 points (29 goals, 47 assists), 20 penalty minutes and is a plus-five. If Draisaitl continues at this pace, he's on track to surpass his career-high in points, 110, which is had twice, in 2019-20 and 2021-22.

Draisaitl and the Oilers will look to continue their climb up the Pacific Division standings when they return from the All-Star break on February 7th against the Detroit Red Wings.
