In his most recent '32 Thoughts' article, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman revealed that the Buffalo Sabres are looking to trade forward Vinnie Hinostroza in order to get him more playing time.

"The Sabres are also trying to find Vinnie Hinostroza a place to play. He's been limited to 19 games, with eight assists."

Hinostroza, 28, is in his second season with the Sabres after re-signing with the club in July for one-year at an average annual value of $1.7 million. In 19 games this season, the Chicago native is only averaging 12:15 TOI and would be more than happy with an opportunity to play more and have a bigger role elsewhere.

His low AAV could be very intriguing to several contenders and other teams that are tight to the cap, but want to add for a potential playoff push. But if he's wanting to get more playing time, Hinostroza may have to join a team that's in contention for the first overall pick, including Anaheim, San Jose, etc.
