Former National Hockey League enforcer Zac Rinaldo hasn't played since the 2020-21 season when he was with the Calgary Flames. Despite having a contract in place for the 2021-22 season with the Columbus Blue Jackets, he did not appear in a game for them because he wasn't vaccinated.

It appears that the 32-year-old's playing career is over and he has decided to jump into the coaching side of hockey. Rinaldo has been hired as an assistant coach by the Milton Menace of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.

Milton currently sits fourth in the North/West Conference with 21 wins through 34 games. Rinaldo will bring plenty of experience to the Menace's bench, which includes Daniel Del Monte, who spent 14 years in Germany, as the head coach.

The Hamilton native played in 374 in the National Hockey League with Philadelphia, Boston, Arizona, Nashville and Calgary, tallying 42 points (18 goals, 24 assists) and 758 penalty minutes.
