The OHL's trade deadline is not until Tuesday at noon ET, but the moves have been coming in fast and furious over the last week and a pretty sizable one is about to become official.

According to Sportsnet's Jeff Marek, the Mississauga Steelheads are trading Montreal Canadiens prospect and 2023 World Junior champion Owen Beck to the Peterborough Petes. In exchange, the Steelheads have acquired Jack Van Volsen, Justin DeZoete and draft picks.

Beck, 18, was named to Canada's roster for the 2023 World Juniors on New Year's Day as an injury replacement for Colton Dach. He went on to appear in Canada's three knockout stage games, helping them win the gold medal.

In 30 games with the Steelheads this season, Beck has 40 points (17 goals, 23 assists), 20 penalty minutes and a plus-six.
