Connor Bedard's name has been on the tongue of every media personality and hockey fan across Canada for the last couple of weeks and rightfully so. The 17-year-old had a World Junior for the record books, putting up 23 points in seven games.

He smashed a ton of Canadian World Junior records throughout, including becoming his country's all-time leading point getter and goal scorer. Bedard also became Canada's record holder for most points in a single-tournament.

After Canada won their second consecutive gold medal on Thursday night, Bedard was interviewed by TSN and immediately showed maturity and was humble saying that he didn't want to talk about himself and that this was about the team as a whole.

"I don't want to talk about myself right now. We're not talking about me. We just [one of] the biggest tournaments in the world. And man I love this group; I love this country." Bedard said.

This might not be the last time Canadian hockey fans see Bedard on the international stage before he gets selected in June's draft. Depending on how his junior team, the Regina Pats, do down the stretch, there's a chance he could be named to Canada's roster for the 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship in April.
