Vancouver Canucks forward J.T. Miller has drawn plenty of criticism in the 2022-23 season, many of it self induced. When speaking with the media on Monday afternoon, he did himself no favors in helping with that criticism.

The 29-year-old, who on top of lazy play and bad body language has also seen a drop off in his offensive production, attempted to explain his lower scoring totals this season compared to last.

"I'd like to say my lack of production is a compliment to me not cheating the game and playing the right way," Miller said.

This is a rather concerning quote given that Miller's defensive play is rather abysmal, as he often seems quite disinterested in that part of the game. While there is a lot of time for him to turn things around, there has to be plenty of concern amongst Canucks fans given that his seven-year, $56 million extension doesn't kick in until next season.
