A bit of a surprise twist to an incident that occurred during a hockey game in Russia back in November. The KHL has decided to sue a fan who jumped the glass and onto the ice while play was going on. He was escorted off the ice by officials, but not before getting a couple of poses in for the crowd on his way out.

Sport24.ru is reporting that the person who jumped on the ice, Talip Minnegaliev, is now being sued by Ak Bars Kazan, the host club for the game. The reported amount is half a million Russian rubles, the equivalent of just under $8000 USD. In addition, Minnegaliev was arrested and has been banned from attending any sporting events for at least one year. While those punishments aren't really surprising, the lawsuit is a bit strange, to say the least. THe number was contained in pre-trial documents and confirmed by Minnegaliev on his Telegram account.
