During the Ottawa Senators' Indigenous People's night, the LA Kings dampened the party by scoring 4 goals in the opening period. Recently appointed University of Ottawa chancellor Claudette Commanda led a traditional smudging ceremony before the game and joined the TSN broadcast during the opening frame.

TSN reporter Clare Hanna asked Commanda a question, and as soon as the chancellor began to answer, Victor Arvidsson scored the fourth Kings' goal of the period, at which point she was cut off for the call by Gord Miller.

The internet - being the cesspool that it is - wasted no time in letting the jokes fly.

This poor lady was just trying to talk about the importance of visibility for indigenous folks, and the broadcast immediately cut her off. Tough scene.
