After spending the last two seasons in Switzerland's National League, Cory Conacher is returning to North America. Conacher has signed a professional tryout contract with the Bellville Senators of the AHL.

The 32-year-old has played 193 games in the NHL, recording 75 (28G, 47A) points. He's had a much better career in the AHL, collecting 330 points (127G, 203A) in 354 career games.

Conacher was never drafted in the NHL, instead starting his career in the AHL out of the U.S. College hockey system. Over the course of his NHL career, he played for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators, Buffalo Sabres, and New York Islanders.

Conacher is expected to play this weekend as the Belleville Sens welcome the Lehigh Valley Phantoms on Friday and the Toronto Marlies on Saturday,
