Just a heads up to anyone who might be squeamish or easily startled; I am neither, and this was a difficult watch. First and foremost, I sincerely hope this kid is alright; what a scary scene.

Ottawa Senators prospect and Ottawa 67s forward Tyler Boucher delivered a pretty routine check to Greyhound defender Luc Brzustowski, and what followed can only be described as harrowing. The latter never got up from the check and moments later began convulsing. It was clear right away what was happening; he was having a seizure.

After the fact, you could hear those at ice level frantically calling for the medical staff on-site to render aid to Brzustowski. One can only imagine what emotions those on the ice must have felt in the moment. Truly terrifying, the helpless feeling can be overwhelming.

The following update on Brzustowski and his condition was released after the game's end, courtesy of local reporter Brad Coccimiglio:

Nothing but positive thoughts for Luc Brzustowski, and hopefully his recovery is quick and complete. After that, let's hope he is able to go back out there and compete again.
