A few tense moments during a hockey game in Sweden on Friday after a loud bang could be heard throughout the building. According to AftonBladet.se, the game between host Kristianstad and the visitors from Tingsryd in the HockeyAllsvenskan League with about 15 minutes left to go in the third period. It was 5-1 for the home team during a stoppage in play when there was a gunshot-like sound. After the scare and some initial confusion, officials start telling players to leave the ice. It was caught on video by C More Hockey.

It appears someone lit the fuse of some type of firecracker and threw it on the ice near the visiting goaltender.

"Can't hear anything - ringing in the ears," Daniel Rosengren told AftonBladet after the game had ended.

His coach, Fredrik Glader, was furious.

"Real f--king idiots. They throw a f--king banger at our goalie that lands two three meters from him. Talk about totally IQ-free people. Terribly stupid."

AftonBladet states local authorities have been able to identify the person responsible for what happened, but does not say whether any arrest has been made.

HockeyAllsvenskan is Sweden's second highest tier of hockey behind the SHL.
