Nearly one week ago, Los Angeles Kings forward Alex Iafallo suffered a lower-body injury in a game against the Detroit Red Wings and the next day he was placed on injured resereve.

Iafallo's injury appears to be more serious as on Sunday, the Kings placed the 28-year-old forward on long-term injured reserve.
The move from regular IR to LTIR means Iafallo will miss at least the next ten games or 24 days. The earliest Iafallo can return to the Kings lineup is November 14th against the Calgary Flames.
Iafallo, a native of Eden (New York), was off to a hot start to the 2022-23 season. In four games, he has five points (two goals, three assists), two penalty minutes and was a plus-two.
To fill Iafallo's spot on the roster, the Kings announced that they've called up forward Austin Wagner from the AHL's Ontario Reign.
