Hockey Canada's partnerships have been dropping their financial commitments to the organization left and right, suspending all future endeavors -- one, Canadian Tire, even cutting ties permanently -- following news of a series of sexual assault scandals.

Recently, large, Canadian enterprises Tim Hortons and Telus recently suspended their efforts, joining a lengthy list.

Today, TSN's Rick Westhead reported that Nike is the latest to suspend its support of Hockey Canada. Nike currently displays their logo on all of Team Canada's jerseys and were the final remaining 'premier' sponsorship to act.

Nike's official release: ''After further review of Hockey Canada's response, we've suspended our
relationship with the federation and paused our support. We'll continue to
monitor the situation and await more information regarding Hockey Canada's
actions to address the findings in these investigations and create a safe
environment for all athletes.''

The walls are closing in on Hockey Canada's leadership group. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau recently threatened to simply replace Hockey Canada, should the body's executive board insist further on holding their positions.

This horrible situation gets uglier each day...
