Earlier this week, an unofficial study was conducted ranking the NHL's head coaches based on how handsome they are. Clearly just an internet stunt, the leaderboard still had some seriously puzzling ratings, even for the internet.

To name a few fairly egregious examples, San Jose's David Quinn, Martin St. Louis, and Jared Bednar at 29, 20, and 15 respectively is an absolute joke. Who comes up with this crap?

Quinn (6.89) was questioned on how he felt with his placement. He jokingly took solace in the fact that he was not last but suggested the stresses of coaching have aged his features. That would not be the entirety of Quinn's sentiment on the table, however.

After opining about his own position, he was then posed a question about new Detroit Red Wings' coach, Derek Lalonde, who finished third with a rating of 8.68.

"Someone is getting fired for that...Those are two really good coaches (Woodcroft and Sutter) but I'd put them towards the bottom with me also in that category...If David Quinn is at the bottom and I'm at the top, that's a bad, bad list," Lalonde previously said.

Quinn took the opportunity to flash-fry the Wings' new bench boss. The two sides are familiar, having both risen through the ranks of the NCAA, AHL, and now NHL coaching ranks.

"I know Derek Lalonde. He ain't No. 3. There's a 3 in there, but there's another number after it. Please quote me."

Nothing friendly about that fire, Quinn just cooked Lalonde and didn't even offer warning shot. Not that any of these coaches put any real stock in a handsomeness poll conducted by some random internet posse.

It is a fair bit of fun, though.
