According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the Boston Bruins have signed veteran defenceman Anton Stralman to a professional try-out contract. It was reported yesterday that the Bruins had offered Stralman a PTO, but they were just awaiting word on if he would accept the invitation or not.

Stralman, 36, was mulling over his options this summer and was deciding between playing in the NHL or returning to the Swedish Hockey League for the first time since 2007.

The Tibro (Sweden) native has appeared in 930 games in the National Hockey League for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers and most recently, the Arizona Coyotes.

In those 930 games, Stralman has recorded 293 points (63 goals, 230 assists), 285 penalty minutes and is a plus-49. He's added 26 points in 113 playoff games, reaching the Stanley Cup Final in 2014 and 2015 with the Rangers and Lightning, respectively.
