It seems Logan Cooley, Team USA star at the World Juniors and a recent 3rd overall pick by Arizona, has ticked off members of Team Sweden. Before Sunday's game between the two teams, Cooley was asked about taking on Team Sweden.

"They're a really skilled team that can score goals, but our game is built for this. We're really physical and they don't like to go into the tough areas, so I like our chances," Cooley said in an interview with TSN.

While USA went on to win the game 3-2, Cooley's words really seemed to irritate Åke Stakkestad of Sweden.

"That's a lame thing to say. He is the most cowardly on the ice and avoids all hits. Hopefully I'll get to smack him later in the tournament," said Stakkestad.

Asked if he'd be happy if he gets to face USA and Cooley later in the tournament again, Stakkestad said "yes, indeed."

"For us, it's all about getting into the box. Unfortunately we didn't do that today," said Stakkestad. "We took too few shots from the blue line and too few shots from forwards. If things improve, we won't be as 'soft' as he (Cooley) wants to make it out to be."

Sweden and USA can only meet again at the World Juniors this year once the Round Robin portion of the tournament ends.
