The Tampa Bay Lightning cut Colorado's series lead to 2-1 on Monday night following a 6-2 win in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Going into Game 3, the Lightning were without forward Brayden Point which is a massive loss for their forward group. Point suffered a lower-body injury in Game 7 of the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He went on to miss the second round against Florida and Eastern Conference Final against New York, but returned for Games 1 and 2 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Lightning head coach Jon Cooper told reporters on Tuesday that Point is day-to-day but he doubts he'll be available for Game 4 on Wednesday.

Cooper also went on to say that forward Nikita Kucherov is expected to suit up on Wednesday night. Kucherov was hurt late in the third period following a cross-check from Avalanche defenceman Devon Toews.

Kucherov then went out shortly after for a powerplay, but after a one-timer, he appeared to be in a lot of pain and left the game.

The Lightning will look to tie the series up at two games a piece on Wednesday night, with puck drop set for 8 p.m. ET on Sportsnet, CBC, and ABC.
