On Friday night, Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price was named the recipient of the Bill Masterton Trophy for his perseverance and dedication to the game of hockey.

During an interview, Price revealed that he recently had a PRP injection on his knee and is preparing to get back on the ice during the summer. According to HSS.edu, a PRP injection is "a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints."

Price added that he's willing to do anything it takes to get back between the pipes for the Canadiens during the 2022-23 season.

The 34-year-old had knee surgery in July 2021, following the Stanley Cup Final and rehabbed his knee all season long. After many setbacks, Price made his season debut on April 15th against the New York Islanders. In five games, Price had a record of 1-4-0 with a 3.63 GAA and an .878 save percentage.
