Edmonton Oilers' head coach Jay Woodcroft expressed his displeasure with a hit that put one of his players out of Game 2. Gabriel Landeskog threw what appeared to be a high hit on Kailer Yamamoto on a back check through the neutral zone.

Let's keep in mind that Landeskog is 6'1" 215lbs, and Yamamoto is 5'8" 155lbs, so there is quite a size difference. Landeskog appears to go through the shoulder first with the hit. It was a bit of a blind side hit, but the puck was in the area of play.

The Department of Player Safety (DoPS) looks at all plays, so it will be interesting if the hit along with Woodcroft's admonition of the hit might get the DoPS attention. Woodcroft really zeroed in on the word "vulnerable" in his post-game press conference.

The Oilers head into Game 3 in Edmonton trailing Colorado 2-0 in the Western Conference Final. Game 3 will be Saturday night at 8pm.
