The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced on Tuesday that they've fined St. Louis Blues forward David Perron $5,000 for cross-checking Colorado Avalanche Nazem Kadri.

The incident occurred just over five minutes into the second period of Game 4 on Monday night. After the whistle, Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich shoved Kadri to the ice, then Perron comes flying in and cross-checks him in the back.

Perron received a two-minute minor for cross-checking, while Buchnevich was given two minutes for roughing. The Blues went on the kill off the 5-on-3 but ultimately lost the game, 6-3.

Colorado will look to win the series on home ice in Game 5 on Wednesday night at 8 p.m. ET.
