Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner has been super unlucky over the past couple of days, especially after the Leafs' elimination at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning, but things only got worse for the 25-year-old.
On Monday night, Marner was the victim of a carjacking at gunpoint. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m., and the police report stated that a man was robbed of a Black Range Rover by three suspects with the use of two handguns as well as a knife.
The suspects did not know it was Marner, but either way, it's a crazy scary situation for anyone to be in, not just a professional athlete. Marner is doing ok, but he was shaken up a bit afterward. He was not physically hurt and everyone around the hockey world is surely thinking that they are glad he is doing fine.
