Players to watch at the 2022 IIHF World Championship

Now that the rosters are set for the 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship, it's time to take a look at one player on each nation you should keep an eye on throughout the tournament.

This year's World Championship has plenty of exciting players to watch including several projected top-fifteen picks at the upcoming NHL Entry Draft.

*Note: the team in brackets is who they played with during the 2021-22 season.

Group A

Canada: Cole Sillinger (Columbus Blue Jackets - NHL)
Denmark: Mikkel Aagaard (Modo - HockeyAllsvenskan)
France: Sacha Treille (Grenoble - Ligue Magnus)
Germany: Matthias Plachta (Adler Mannheim - DEL)

Slovakia: Juraj Slafkovsky (TPS - Liiga)

Austria: Marco Kasper (Rogle BK - SHL)
Czechia: David Jiricek (HC Plzen - Czech Extraliga)
Finland: Toni Rajala (HC Biel - NL)
Great Britain: Robert Dowd (Sheffield Steelers - EIHL)

The 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship will get underway on Friday morning at 9:20 a.m. with a pair of games, France vs Slovakia and United States vs Latvia.
