This series was deemed one of the tightest to assess before it started. Two teams who are built from the back out & play a hard, physical style, the series has lived up to any hype it had.

The action would begin with a couple of Canes' goals from Jesper Fast & Tony DeAngelo, followed by the Pastrnak collision with Antti Raanta. The game would tilt further toward the Hurricanes on Sebastian Aho's second of the night. The Canes would never look back in this one, even as Boston scored a couple in the latter half of the game. Rookie goalie Pyotr Kotchetkov had a clutch performance with both of the Canes' net minders injured & EBUG Jack Lafontaine ready to roll:

This series was very physical from the opening puck drop. After a bone crushing check from Carolina's Andrei Svechnikov, Hampus Lindholm looked visibly wobbly upon standing. A vicious check, Svechnikov likely has a target on his back going forward:
