Late in the first period of Game 1 between the Penguins and New York, Rangers', defenseman Ryan Lindgren threw a devastating hit on Penguins forward Rickard Rakell.

The hit was originally deemed a five minute major penalty for charging. After review, it was reduced to a two minute minor penalty.

Rakell remained down on the ice for several minutes, before skating off under his own power, looking a bit woozy from the collision.

Following a whirlwind of fines and one suspension following last night's playoff action, it would not be surprising if this video is scrutinized more closely by NHL's Department of Player Safety.
