Stanley Cup Playoff clinching scenarios for April 26th

The 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs are less than one week away and the final three spots in the Western Conference, as well as the President's Trophy can be wrapped up on Tuesday. Playoff seeding and home-ice advantage is also up for grabs tonight, so let's take a look at all of the clinching scenarios for April 26th.

First, we'll start with the final three spots in the Western Conference and how those teams can punch their ticket.

The Los Angeles Kings will clinch a spot:

- If the Dallas Stars defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in any fashion.

The Nashville Predators will clinch a spot:

- If they defeat the Calgary Flames in regulation.

OR

- If they defeat the Calgary Flames in overtime AND the Vegas Golden Knights fail to defeat the Dallas Stars in regulation.

OR

- If they defeat the Calgary Flames in a shootout AND the Vegas Golden Knights fail to defeat the Dallas Stars in regulation or overtime.

OR

- If they get one point vs. the Calgary Flames AND the Vegas Golden Knights lose to the Dallas Stars in any fashion.

OR

- If the Vegas Golden Knights lose to the Dallas Stars in regulation.

The Dallas Stars will clinch a spot:

- If they defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in regulation.

The Edmonton Oilers will clinch the second seed in the Pacific Division:

- If they defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins in any fashion.

The Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings can clinch a first round matchup:

- If the Dallas Stars defeat the Vegas Golden Knights in regulation.

The Florida Panthers can clinch the President's Trophy:

- If they defeat the Boston Bruins in any fashion AND the St. Louis Blues defeat the Colorado Avalanche in any fashion.

OR

If they get one point vs. the Boston Bruins AND the St. Louis Blues defeat the Colorado Avalanche in regulation.

The Toronto Maple Leafs will clinch the second seed in the Atlantic Division:

- If they get at least one point against the Detroit Red Wings.

OR

- If the Columbus Blue Jackets defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning in any fashion.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Tampa Bay Lightning will clinch a first round matchup:

- If the Tampa Bay Lightning defeat the Columbus Blue Jackets in any fashion AND the Florida Panthers defeat the Boston Bruins in regulation.

The Carolina Hurricanes will clinch the Metropolitan Division:

- If they defeat the New York Rangers in any fashion.
