Major Upset Alert: Latvia tops Sweden At U18 Tournament
The U18 World Championship Tournament is the premier tournament for minor hockey players across the world. It is a great glimpse into the future of programs we might not otherwise hear a ton about. Take Latvia for example; players like Columbus' G Elvis Merzlikins are all we really hear of Latvian hockey.
So this tournament acts as a great measuring stick compared to top programs. It could also play host to some crazy upsets not unlike Latvia's over Sweden today.
