Despite being deemed out for the rest of the season back in mid-March due to a fractured hand, Ottawa Senators defenceman Thomas Chabot will return to the lineup on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens.

Chabot skated for half-an-hour this morning and was activated off injured reserve, signaling his return to the lineup.

The 25-year-old has appeared in 55 games this season for the Senators, tallying 34 points (six goals, 28 assists), 26 penalty minutes, and is a minus-one.

Once the Senators' season is completed, it is expected that Chabot, along with Drake Batherson and Connor Brown will be invited to represent Canada at the 2022 IIHF World Hockey Championship in Finland next month.

Puck drop for tonight's tilt between Ottawa and Montreal is set for 7 p.m. ET on CityTV, Sportsnet East and TVA Sports.
