Michael Ryder was arrested & booked on Feb. 12 for driving under the influence. The Bonavista native was pulled over & blew a BAC over the legal limit.
Michael Ryder won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins in 2011 & is a legend in Newfoundland. You tend to earn that status when you score more NHL points than anyone else from your home province.
The details of his case are not public, and the court is set to revisit his case in coming weeks.
