It was a big night on Tuesday for Johnny Hockey. For the first time in his career, 28-year-old Johnny Gaudreau of the Calgary Flames hit triple digits in points, getting two assists in a 5-3 win over Seattle to get to 101 points. Gaudreau and his teammates were quite impressed with the milestone. In typical fashion, Flames head coach Darryl Sutter didn't think much of it.

"I don't care," said Sutter when asked how hard it is for a player to reach 100 points in a season. "Does that win the Stanley Cup? I'd rather have the guys that win the scoring race in the playoffs."

"Hopefully he's got 20 more in him," added Sutter.

It's interesting to note that when Sutter was brought back on as head coach in Calgary, it was Gaudreau's name that came up a lot as many felt he would never succeed under Sutter's hard-nosed, cold and sarcastic style of coaching. Clearly, those people were wrong. Apparently, Gaudreau's father knew Sutter would bring out the best in his son.

"When Darryl Sutter was first hired, people said, 'Oh, John will never make it.' I said to my wife, 'You wait. He'll play his best hockey'," said Guy Gaudreau in advance of Tuesday night's game.

"He's like me. An old-time guy," he added. "No frills. If you want to complain, don't complain to me, I don't want to hear your complaints."
