The Buffalo Sabres announced on Friday afternoon that Owen Power will be joining them for the remainder of the 2021-22 season, as both parties agreed to terms on a three-year, entry-level deal.

Power, 19, has a lot of hype surrounding him as he was selected first overall in the 2021 draft. He himself made the decision to return to the University of Michigan for one more season to further his development. However, with their season coming to an end with a loss in the Frozen Four, he will now join the Sabres and will very soon make his NHL debut.

"Owen Power will join Sabres in Tampa and is expected to make his NHL debut in Toronto on Tuesday night, Buffalo GM Kevyn Adams says.

The 2021-22 season was a very impressive one for Power, who recorded 32 points in just 33 games. He appears to be very special, and is one of many promising young talents the Sabres have. Despite the organizations lengthy playoff drought, the future appears to be bright.
