Matthew Tkachuk of the Calgary Flames joined the NHL on TNT panel Tuesday night in advance of the team's game against the Anaheim Ducks. What ensued was a chirp-fest involving Rick Tocchet, his brother Brady Tkachuk, and his father Keith.

It all started with "Tock" asking Tkachuk if he and his father ever got into a heated battle while playing hockey together. Tkachuk noted that his dad acted as more of a mediator between him and his brother, referring to a time when he hit Brady from behind during a living room hockey game in St. Louis, which required stiches for the younger of the Tkachuk brothers. He was then asked by Paul Bissonnette whether he had learned anything from Tocchet when Tocchet and his father were playing together in Phoenix in the late 1990s and Matthew would hang around the locker room.

"I think his big story with Tock is that Tock would always get the secondary assist added about two weeks later," said Tkachuk with a smirk.

Tocchet then fired back.

"Hey kid, your dad what the king at 'hey, please add an assist for number 7 Keith Tkachuk.' He used to take the timekeeper out for dinner. That's the truth. Him and [Jeremy] Roenick," said Tocchet.

Tkachuk was then asked what his father thought of his haircut. He decided to take a shot at his brother there.

"One of his boys can grow some hair so, I think he's going to let me keep it."

"Brady's gonna kill me," Tkachuk joked.

As noted by one of the panelists, just a "barrage of smack-talk" in this one.
