Trade Alert: Rangers acquire forward Frank Vatrano

According to TSN's Pierre LeBrun, the New York Rangers have acquired forward Frank Vatrano from the Florida Panthers in exchange for a 2022 fourth round pick.

"The Florida Panthers are trading Frank Vatrano to the New York Rangers for a fourth round pick this year. Official trade call hasn't happened yet." LeBrun said.

Vatrano, 28, has appeared in 49 games this season for the Panthers, tallying nineteen points (ten goals, nine assists), sixteen penalty minutes, and is a minus-two. He's set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

This move now opens up a roster spot for the Florida Panthers to go out an make a big addition leading up to Monday's 3 p.m. ET trade deadline. One name that has been linked to the Florida Panthers is Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux.
