After a quiet few weeks in the NHL, Sunday has been all about breaking news, and now, a veteran defenseman has added to that by finding himself a new home.

Dumba in the desert

The Arizona Coyotes have been one of the most active teams this off-season, adding some great talent to their roster, and now, they're on the verge of adding Matt Dumba too.

According to Elliotte Friedman, the two sides are closing in on a deal at one-year, $4 million, which would give the Coyotes a much needed veteran presence on their blue line.

A fresh start

Dumba has spent the entirety of his career thus far with Minnesota, stretching back to his debut in 2013-14, but now, the 29-year old has found a new home, and will look to bounce back after the worst statistical season of his career.

In 598 games with Minnesota, Dumba has tallied 79 goals and 236 points, and is one of the more physical blue liners in the game, so if he can add that to an improving young core in Arizona, this is a great move for both parties.
