One of the more polarising prospects around the NHL is Canadiens defenseman Logan Mailloux. He is one of the most skilled prospects in the Canadiens' organisation but had his reputation tarnished by the sexual abuse scandal involving him taking intimate pictures of a woman without her consent and sending it to players on his team.
Prior to the 2021 NHL Draft, he renounced himself from being selected but the Canadiens took him either way, with the 31st overall pick.
Mailloux is ready for NHL hockey
Mailloux had a strong season in the OHL this past year, scoring 53 points in 59 games with the London Knights, including 24 points in 21 playoff games.
TVA Sports journalist Jean-Charles Lajoie thinks he should be in the NHL this year.
Logan Mailloux is just as impressive in this camp as Kaiden Guhle was a year ago. No more, no less. Same physical maturity to boot. Why do we want to see him two years in Laval, when last year, we all wanted to see Guhle here with the CH? Mailloux well before Barron! He would also be eligible to play another season in the OHL as an overager but it seems the team thinks he's past that point in his development.
As read on Habs Fanatics. Logan Mailloux Could Start the Season in the NHL
