Last week, Jake Walman of the Detroit Red Wings caused a stir in Vancouver when he celebrated an overtime goal on a penalty shot with the controversial "griddy" dance.

When the Red Wings and the Canucks faced off again last night, anticipation was high regarding how the Canucks would react to Walman's previous celebration.

And indeed, they delivered.

There's no question that Walman's celebration previously fueled the Canucks' drive for revenge. The most satisfying way to retaliate was through a victory over him and his team, which they easily beat 4-1.

Yet, for defenseman Nikita Zadorov, winning wasn't enough. He seized an opportunity to mock Walman with the griddy dance during a stoppage in play, after an official intervened to break up a confrontation between them.

Catch the entire moment in the footage linked below:

"Zadorov mocking Walman with a little griddy action.

See? This is how you settle these things. Not with blatant cross checks to the face. With accidental high sticks and revenge dances.

Morgan Reilly has a lot to learn."

Many fans wished Morgan Rielly had chosen a route similar to Zadorov's, which could have allowed him to avoid suspension yet still get the retaliation he wanted.
