In a shocking turn of events, a massive brawl broke out on the ice in tonight's game between the Florida Panthers and Boston Bruins.
With both teams having a recent history of aggression and dirty plays, it is no surprise that a fight broke out between the opposing teams. However, the sheer amount of players involved in this brawl is not to be understated.
During the early part of the second period, a few members of the Bruins surrounded and took down "the Rat King" Matthew Tkachuck. As this cluster was at risk of becoming a catastrophe, the spotlight turned to Sam Bennet and Hampus Lindholm.
"Clearly still some animosity between the Bruins and Panthers 😳"
After a struggle with Bennet pulling his hair, Lindholm started threw punches, which caused Bennet to take the fight to the next level.
"Lindholm threw the cheap shot at Bennet, and that's enough for Sam Bennet. He is throwing the rights!"
Lindholm ended up down on the ice, and Bennet was pulled to the bench as other opposing players were still arguing. Though no related updates have been provided yet, we are likely to see numerous suspensions as a result of this fight.
Both teams are currently tied 2-2 after the second period of the game.
