The Montreal Canadiens returned to the Bell Centre on Thursday night for the first time since December 16th. Their long road trip was due to the NHL's extended holiday break, and then having home games postponed because they weren't allowed fans in the building.

Those capacity limits are still in place in the province of Quebec, meaning that no fans were allowed inside the Bell Centre to watch the Canadiens take on the Anaheim Ducks last night.

Anaheim would go on to win the game by a score of 5-4. Leading the way was rookie forward Trevor Zegras, who scored a beautiful lacrosse goal early in the second period. In fact, it was the first shot that Canadiens goaltender Samuel Montembeault faced after coming in relief of Cayden Primeau.

Following the game, Zegras talked with reporters about the goal, but also made a pretty funny joke when it came to the Bell Centre's attendance.

"Atmosphere was pretty crazy tonight, tried to take the crowd out of it for sure," Zegras said.

The 20-year-old is one of the brightest stars in the National Hockey League and is going to be a treat to watch for many years to come. His creativity and skill are part of the reason why the league has invited the Bedford, New York native to participate in the Breakaway Challenge at next weekend's All-Star Skills Competition.

Up next for the Ducks, they'll be in Ottawa on Saturday afternoon at 12:30pm ET, while the Canadiens will host the Edmonton Oilers at 7pm ET. Both games can be viewed on CBC apart of Saturday's 'Hockey Day in Canada' coverage.
