It appears reports that Brad Marchand brought up Russia with Artemi Panarin, which pissed him off enough to throw his glove at him, are 100 percent true. Panarin confirmed Saturday that Marchand brought up Russia while the two were arguing on the bench, which he called a no-no.

"That's why I lost my mind," said Panarin.

"I don't like that guy," he added with a smile.

"It's important to think that I didn't start it. I didn't say good things about him, too, but I think when you touch country, it's different. Probably all Russians would want to defend their country," said Panarin, adding trash talk is fine, but this crossed a line.

It was the dying minutes of the third when Panarin threw his glove at Marchand, something that would land him a $5000 fine from the league for unsportsmanlike conduct. Panarin said he's ok with the fine and was thankful that he gets $11.6 million per year from the Rangers, which means he can easily afford it.
