A pair of players have been issued matching $5,000 fines for their actions during the Columbus Blue Jackets/Winnipeg Jets game on Wednesday evening.

The first fine was issued to Blue Jackets forward Max Domi for unsportsmanlike conduct after Domi fired a puck into the Jets' net after the whistle and then proceeded to drop the gloves and take liberties on Jets forward Evgeny Svechnikov, who did not appear to be a willing combatant.

The second fine was issued to Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey for a nasty slash on Blue Jackets forward Alexandre Texier at the end of the contest, after Texier scored an insurance marker on the empty net late in the third period.

Both fines were the maximum allowable amounts under the current collective bargaining agreement.
