Less than a month after the Newfoundland Growlers of the ECHL were booted from their home arena by the St. John's Sports and Entertainment Ltd. (SJSEL), the two parties have agreed upon a new deal meaning the team will be able to use their arena once again.

The reasoning behind this was due to an investigation, which is still ongoing, in regards to allegations of disrespectful workplace conduct against staff at Deacon Sports & Entertainment Limited (DSE, the parent company of the Growlers). While the investigation is still ongoing however, the SJSEl states there were never any allegations of a physical or sexual nature. On top of that, neither the players nor coaches of the Growlers are involved in the allegations in any way.

On top of all that, the arena name has been changed from the Mile One Centre to the Mary Brown's Centre. This was a very bizarre story, but one that thankfully appears to have been resolved. The Growlers haven't let the distraction get to them, as their 10-2-0 record leads the entire ECHL this season. The team has been playing in a nearby arena in Conception Bay South since leaving Mary Brown's Centre.
