Bad news for Jared McIsaac of the Detroit Red Wings. The 21-year-old former second round pick was stretchered out of a prospects game against the Columbus Blue Jackets following a hit from behind along the boards with just three minutes left in the first period. Officials decided to call the period at that point, with both teams heading back to their dressing rooms. Here's the hit that brought medical officials out.

According to the Red Wings, McIsaac was transported to hospital for observation, but is awake and alert.

In June of 2019, McIsaac suffered a shoulder injury in the QMJHL, causing him to be sidelined for six months. Let's hope he's ok after that terrible hit from behind.
